An independent assessment of Aeroflot in the form of an on-site inspection to confirm qualifications for servicing DOT cylinders was carried out jointly by the auditors of VERTEST, Intertek Russia and Japan.

DOT cylinders are seamless steel gas cylinders used in oxygen equipment systems on board aircraft.

Qualification confirmation is carried out every 5 years and consists of the following stages:

• documentation analysis;
• confirmation of personnel competence;
• DOT cylinder testing, including calibration, hydrostatic testing and visual inspection.
